Understanding the editor

This guide walks you through the LoonaLabs Editor such as how it’s structured, what each panel does, and where to find your tools.

Editor Overview

• Top Pane: Global settings, publishing options, and document info

• Left panel: Navigation and card management

• Right panel: Style controls, assessments, uploads, and layout tools

Top Pane

• Home: Exit to main dashboard

• Document Name: Click to rename

• General Settings:
• Add description, tags, thumbnail
• Set start/end times for module completion
• Add pre-requisites or passing score
• Reset or allow additional learner attempts
• (Coming soon) Learning summary and certificate options

• Sharing & Distribution

• Preview Creation

• Last Saved Time

• Other Settings: Save as template, duplicate, delete

• Publish

Left Panel (Card Navigator)

• View all cards in List or Card View

• Add new cards

• Delete existing ones

The first card is fixed and acts as your creation’s cover.

It includes the title, creator name, tags, and description.

Right Panel (Styling & Tools)

• Theme & Palette: Choose visual styles

• Colours: Choose your preferred colour

• Typography: Adjust fonts and sizes

• Upload: Add images, audio, and video

• Layouts: Drag-and-drop building blocks

• Assessment: Add quizzes and checks

• Settings: Access advanced creation options

Card Settings

• Card layout styles:
• Full bleed
• Wide content

• Background:
• Colour or image

• Card styling:
• Optional image overlay

• Add comment

• Duplicate

• Download

• Delete

Layout Blocks & Markdown

You can drag-and-drop these layout options from the Right Panel or use Markdown (”/”) inside any card.

Headings & Text

• Heading 1, 2, 3

• Paragraph

• Bullet list, Ordered list

Media

• Image blocks: Top, Bottom, Left, Right, 2–3 grid

• Video blocks: Top, Left, Right, Dual, 3-grid

• Audio: Inline or bottom

Layout

• Two-column

• Three-column

Charts

• Pie, Bar, Line

Process

• Horizontal timeline/images

• Vertical timeline/images

Interactive

• Single choice / Multi-choice assessments

• Tabs, Tooltips

• Callouts, Dividers, Emojis

Embed

• Full embed (e.g. links, apps)

Creation Settings

Accessible via the Right Panel > Settings.

Page Settings

• Forced interaction: Prevent learners from skipping ahead

• Compliance check: Ensure all required parts are completed

Assessment Settings

• Number of retries: Set retry limits

• Time for each question: Add time per question

Page Transitions

• Types: None, Fade, Slide, Focus

• Direction & Timing: Control how pages animate
